May 6, 2009

Savannah, Georgia's BARONESS will head to Dallas, Texas next week to begin work on a brand new full-length album. The new CD will be helmed by the Grammy-nominated producer/engineer John Congleton (EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY, THE POLYPHONIC SPREE, THE ROOTS, BUDDY MILES, BLACK MOUNTAIN). The as-yet-untitled album is due in the fall via Relapse Records.

BARONESS' most recent release was "The Red Album", which came out September 4, 2007. The effort was recorded at the Jam Room in Columbia, South Carolina and produced by KYLESA's Phillip Cope.
